Active Release Technique

What is Active Release?
What is Scar Tissue?
Scar tissue occurs from:
-
Acute injuries
-
Repetitive movements
-
Hypoxia (tissue not getting enough oxygen)
Example of Scar Tissue
A callous is an example of scar tissue. As you know, a callous is an area of skin which has become relatively thick and hard as a response to repeated contact or pressure. Your muscles, tendons, and, ligaments will respond the same way to repeated contact or pressure.
